Developers have had more than enough time now to update their software to have it run as a standard user. If software absolutely requires local admin access to run and we can't get it to run via a workaround we move to replace it and end its support. A lot of times setting full control to the software's install directory will make the software happy and allow it to run.

Sometimes there are permission settings in the registry for the software that can be adjusted to let it run.
