Hey got my Carsoft program running tonight, thanks David Mc. However, most of my Modules are not responding. Car is a IT with the M50 Vanos engine. ANything I should look at as to why the modules are not responding? If I got an earlier version of carsoft will it be a better fit for my e34?

If they don't respond, they probably don't exist.. The support is there for new models that have those modules. Don't worry if they don't respond unless its DME ;. Changed to an old pentium laptop that my kids don't use anymore, but it has a built in serial port. Installed Carsoft and I was able to reset the airbag light. Another BMW owner loan me his peake airbag reset tool, but it wouldn't reset the module, but car soft gave me the fault and resetted the module.

Now I don't need to see the SRS light on the dash anymore. Woo Hoo. Til it comes on again. The best thing is built in serial port, sad it's only on old laptops. I had a great deal of luck when I used XP instead of Vista, and then even better results using the built in COM port off a desktop that I dragged down into my garage.
